Pet Portrait Gift on a Deadline: What Arrives Today and What Arrives Later

Generating a portrait is quick. Shipping a print is not. Here is how to split the two so the gift still lands on time.

A pet portrait gift has three clocks: the preview (about 60–90 seconds), the digital file and private reveal link (available the moment you unlock), and a shipped print (typically 5–8 business days door to door in the US, 7–10 in Canada — an estimate, not a guaranteed date). If the deadline is close, send the reveal link on the day and let the print follow.

The most common gift mistake is confusing how fast the portrait is made with how fast it arrives. Generating takes about a minute. A print is made to order and then handed to a carrier. They are different clocks, and a good plan uses both.

If the gift is due in two days or less

Do not order a print and hope. Unlock the HD file, send the private Gift Reveal link on the day, and tell the recipient a physical print is on its way. The reveal arrives the moment you send it, and the print becomes the second half of the gift rather than a missed deadline.

If you have two weeks

Order the print early. Preview and decide on the first day, order the same day, and keep a small buffer for the carrier. Ship straight to the recipient if you like: checkout takes the delivery address separately from your payment details, so the parcel goes to their door and the receipt to your inbox.

Gifts that cross borders

The ready-to-hang 12×16″ framed print ships to the US and Canada. The unframed 8×10″ travels to more countries, but a parcel that crosses a border may be charged import duty or tax by the recipient’s customs authority, collected by the carrier. That charge is set by their country and is not included in our price. A digital file never crosses a border.

A simple plan that works

  • Day 1: free preview, run the likeness check, pick the style.
  • Day 1–2: unlock HD and, if there is time, order the print — framed at $79 for the US and Canada, or unframed at $36.99.
  • Gift day: send the Gift Reveal link with a short dedication.
  • A few days later: the print arrives, tracked, and the digital gift gets a physical follow-up.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any customs charges; check the order page for the current total before you pay.

Frequently asked questions

Can I guarantee a print arrives on a specific day?

No. Prints are made to order and shipped by a carrier, so any date is an estimate. For a firm deadline, send the digital Gift Reveal link on the day and let the print follow.

How long does the preview take?

Typically about 60–90 seconds.

Can the print be shipped directly to the recipient?

Yes. Checkout collects the delivery address separately from your payment details, so the parcel can go straight to them.
