PetMona processes pet photos you upload so we can generate stylized portraits. We do not sell your images, and we do not use uploaded photos to train foundation models.

What we collect

  • Email address (used as your checkout identifier in v1 — there is no login account)
  • Uploaded pet photos and generated outputs
  • Payment metadata from Stripe (order id, purchased SKU)
  • A first-party device identifier and a hashed browser/device fingerprint used only to enforce the three-preview limit and prevent free-trial abuse
  • With your consent, anonymous usage events such as page views, selected art style, generation outcome and checkout progress

Device-limit records are retained to enforce the one-time free-preview allowance. We do not use the device fingerprint for advertising, cross-site tracking or identifying you by name.

Storage and retention

Images are stored in object storage (Vercel Blob). Portrait status and unlock balances are stored in a key-value store. Uploads and results are retained so you can finish checkout and download your file. We do not use your photos to train AI models and we do not sell them. Automated timed deletion is not enabled in v1 — email us anytime and we will delete your uploads and generated assets on request (usually within a few business days). Purchased deliverables may be kept longer when needed for support or refunds.

Who else processes your photo

Painting a portrait sends your uploaded photo to the third-party AI image service we use, which processes it only to return that one image. Neither we nor that service uses your photo to train models, and we do not send them your email, name or order details. Storage (Vercel), payments (Stripe, and Lemon Squeezy as backup) and print fulfilment (our U.S. print partner, who receives the finished artwork and your shipping address — never your original photo) are the other processors involved. Email us and we will tell you exactly which providers are in use today.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe (primary) and may use Lemon Squeezy as a backup merchant of record. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Analytics & advertising

The Google tag and Meta Pixel only load after you select “Accept analytics” — both stay off by default. We use Google Analytics to understand the product funnel and improve reliability. We use Meta Pixel to measure how our ads perform and show PetMona ads to relevant visitors on Facebook and Instagram; it uses Meta’s Advanced Matching, which shares a hashed (not plaintext) version of your email with Meta to improve ad matching. None of these tags ever receive your uploaded photo, generated image URL, file name or portrait request id. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing PetMona site data in your browser.
